Need Help with an update

well unfortunately my lcd screen broke and i didnt fix it until christmas >.<. so basically i been out of the homebrew scene for like 5 months and i need a quick update. also sony gave me a brand new psp back so i'm not a 2.01user as my name indicates i'm now a 3.01 user. so is there any homebrew hope for me? and whats the difference between 3.0x and 3.0xOE? and also...OMG is there a new hit coder making a legacy? i mean DarkAlex btw. is Fanjita still making ppl buzz? i've been gone too long i miss this site =D thanx to all who reply to this lol.

dont upgrade your psp just dont now as of now there is no exploit in 3.01 but there will be 3.03OE is a custom firmware so it has a built in psx emu and full homebrew capabilities as well as all the 3.03 regular capabilities it also has some other shadier aspects to it such as a loader if you catch my drift now it can only be installed from another custom firmware or 1.50 so you will need to wait for a downgrader. btw dark alex is the new hombrew god.he is spectacular he has made downgraders custom firmwares eboot decrypters and he has hacked the official sony ps1 emulator to allow us to play our on ps1 isos.

wonder if u can help. my brother has 2.82 firmware. if he upgrades to offficial 3.03 can he then upgrade to 3.03oe-a then oe-b or is he stuck on 2.82

You won't be able to get custom firmware 3.03 OE-A as you will need to downgrade to version 1.50 and official 2.82 firmware can't be downgraded as of yet.

Again, not on firmware 2.82 as you need to downgrade to run Device Hook. You should wait where you are until a downgrader is made for that version (or higher). Of course, the other way is to get another PSP and hope not to have a version higher than 2.80 but not everyone has money to spare and buy another one.
