I'm going to be getting a psp soon and not sure what to do with it for homebrewing. I heard a while ago when I was looking in at homebrewing that newer games require newer firmware (a long time ago).
1. So, if I was to get a 1.5 firmware system, would I be able to play newer games that come out with the actual UMD?Or should I get a mod chip so I can have two firmwares?
2.Are all these version compatible for running psp backups?
3. If I randomly have the newest psp is it downgradable?
4. Is the 4gb psp hard drive able to store psp back ups to play?

1. yes with a nifty program called devhook, or you could (and should) install Dark-Alex's 3.03 OE A.

2. Im not allowed to tell you.

3. no, just any firmware up to 2.8
