You don't need Hotshots, just use a program called popsconv, it is only 310KBS.

I converted Destruction Derby Raw with this. took off about 400mb; but the game wouldn't load...
^ Wasn't that the one that was taken off here not too long ago because it had some of the Hotshots Golf 2 files embedded within it?
I can't check it, I'm still at work, but it does sound awfully familiar.
As for this massive compression, wasn't there also a program similar to this way back when that would allow you to go in and manually remove any files from the image?
this better get better cause over at pspupdates it got a looong tutorial on how to get it to load and im just too frickin lazy to do it....
The real problem so to speak was that the LBA wasn't specified earlier, check that link and if you scroll down to the end of the comments Garrett [the one who made this tutorial] posts the fix for those who are getting the black screen issue.
Note: Verify the LBA information in CDGENPS2 is the same as in the file you are rebuilding! (this is a rather normal requirement, just wasn't mentioned at first.)
Is there a program that compresses iso psp games? i want to put my games on my mem stick rather than carry around my UMDs all the time coz i will end up losing them knowing me
Yeah, sorry I should have posted earlier.
I tried this when it came out over at QJ.net and I think its just sheer luck that some games work with this and the majority of others don't work.
I tried 3 games both in bin and iso format and none of them worked. I didn't stress out about it.
So I believe we were led on, so don't worry about it.
DAX compression is pretty swell enough for me.
Oh, yeah and my LBA information is correct so it's not that.
