Buying a new PSP

okay I'm selling my 3.02 version PSP and buying a new one because I want to get into the homebrew scene all you cool guys are in. I was wondering: If I buy a new psp at gamestop/bestbuy what firmware version does it start at? do they all have TAO-82 motherboards. I really need to get a hold of a 1.5 firmware psp. thanks for the help everyone/ uhh...it posted twcie...

3.03 will be at gamestop and ebgames.
