43 per cent of Americans read an e-book in 2011.
E-readers are hugely popular. Indeed, Amazon is proof of this as it now sells more e-books than print versions in the UK, while Nook digital content sales are up 119 per cent year-on-year.
The Schools.com infographic shows that 43 per cent of of Americans aged 16 and over read an e-book or similar in 2011, while e-reader ownership grew from ten per cent to 19 per cent in December 2011 to January 2012, respectively.
Meanwhile, 62 per cent own a Kindle, 22 per cent own a Nook, and nine per cent don't have a clue what device they own.
