I agree... and I also have your NNy avatar tattoded on my arm lol
BUt, talk about a waste of brain power, I mean if the kid was smart enough to do this, he should have done somethign else. all it does is push the same button over an dover...... very few games need you to do that.
He must not be very good at video games if he spends all his time building robots to play them for him!
I read the comments before actually watching the video thinking what could have been wrong with it. It seemed so cool. But then i watched the video and realised i had misread the description. It would have been cooler if he was controlling a robotic arm with the psp.
It's not simply pressing the button. If you'd spent any time playing the game shown here (WTF) you'd recognize this to be the wood chopping mini-game... which I find to be incredibly difficult and very frustrating when you lose. The camera on the PSP screen is programed to look for blocks of wood and then activate the motorized button pushing thing. This is a fantastic setup. My highest score EVER on that game is only like 92, this rig could totally beat that in like 10 minutes. I always wondered if it would count past 999, but I could never get that high to see. I find this very intriguing. Nicely done.
Being that playing video games might just be the laziest activity ever, someone playing it with a robot couldn't be any more lazy.
You don't need to know my mental status. You probably don't want to, either.

Yeah its not all that hard...
But I gotta give him props anyway, he is experimenting and who knows, maybe one day, he'll end creating a robot that is actually useful for something.
