I would love to give this a try as well. But how do you guys like it with out touch screen? Hard to use?
If you have a homebrew-enabled PSP - you can give it a try even if you don't have the gps receiver...
The 0.460 (as well as most prior versions) has the GPS simulation mode and a sample map to try out...

not sure what PIO is... if POI - yes it supports those... check the forums for more info...

My guess is, your file is still in incorrect format or has errors in it...
try installing cygwin and generating a new geodata.dat file... or just wait until in7ane comes up with a better front end for geodata proggie...

Forgive a stupid question from a newbie to PSP Homebrew issues:

I gather from the above that MapTHis will not run under standard PSP OS?
If so, how does one go about getting a Custom Kernel, and what effect would such kernel have on running "regular" PSP software?

I'm dying to try out the PSP-290 (it's been ordered) with navigation software, especially for my regular trips to Europe.

    Thanks!

Hi deniska... thanks a lot for this great application. I've been following the progress on PSP-290 support for MapThis at ps2dev, and finally the day has come. Can't wait to try it out. I bought the Sony GPS a few months ago. Only used for Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops GPS scan. I'm from Malaysia by the way.

Just wondering whether I can use usbacc.prx & usbgps.prx from your PSP290TEST package?

Hi, I've asked for the usbacc.prx and subgps.prx files but now I already got them dumped from the 3.02fw. Now your Map This works fine on my 3.02OE-A, 2 or 3 minutes to locate the satellite. I'm in Jp so I also tried the Maplus. Though it's more powerful I frefer yours as it's much more flexible and more area supported. And the google map is much better than the map in Maplus. Thank u so much for the great work. I've been waiting for your work supported by psp-290 for a long time

Deniska, found a bug (I think) I was waiting at the gps info screen for it to connect and once it did I pressed select to jump back to the map and then I got a screen full of missing map tiles and it was locked up till it shut down a couple of seconds later. It was a fresh install with nothing changed other than my adding my local map created with the app that in7ane built.

Oh, I was zoomed all the way in on the center of the map at the time that I selected the gps info screen.
