    Perhaps i'm a noob too...
I've tried to create a map of France (not the whole country, just East...) and Mapthis just keeps on loading the map too. What is the problem ???

Tested out the new beta version of 290 MapThis today on the same route i took last night - same deal, it works a treat, no droppout at all, acurate on the location, acturate on the direction(both rotating map and 'north up'), acurate on the speed. As was the case with the test software last night, its pretty twitchy when there are lots of buildings around you, and doesn't like to pick up a fix too easily, but in more open areas of London, its quick and acurate. I like it mucho! Well done Deniska - a genius indeed!

All I currently need to make my life complete is to work out how to generate new maps (better detailed) - I'm on a Mac. Guess I need to get a PC emulator? or is there a way of doing it online?

I never could get this working before, but now that it is compatible with the GPS receiver I will have to try it again. Thanks Deniska.

It was a fresh install with nothing changed other than my adding my local map created with the app that in7ane built.

Oh, I was zoomed all the way in on the center of the map at the time that I selected the gps info screen.
Do you have extra space on your memory sctick?
The program is dumping log file (for debugging), so perhaps, it filled your card completely?
Or could that be that you had a corrupted MS?

Let me know if it works out with PC emu for mac...
As a second option, you can consider finding a PC (perhaps in some public library, etc)

Sony's uses some propriatary format (not NMEA)
Other usb gps devices would not work with the official gps fw modules

Marvelous. My PSP-290 works perfectly with MapThis. Thanks again for this great application, deniska. Too bad, the only available map that I can get is; from MSN Live search only, and it's not that detail at all.

I'm wondering, deniska.. is it possible to convert those GPS map in Garmin format, so it can be use with MapThis?
