I think this is rather strange.

@ the moment I'm decrypting any PSP Firmware I found. To try all the prx's combinations
EDIT:
@ the moment I'm using
usbacc.prx from Firmware 2.71
and
usbgps.prx from Firmware 3.03
Works fine with newest MapThis beta. Get's a fix within 5minutes.
@Deniska
I tried the feature with the "POI routes" from gmdl. Works also fine.
But I found out, that MapThis doens't Support signs like
ß
ä
ö
ü
and a few more.
Would be great, if you can make them supported by your Software
And sorry for my bad english.
sum1 please help me
i hav already ordered my PSP=290 GPS receiver from play-asia.com. They had written that "Compatible with Sony PSP™ Japan" . I have a chinese psp, so will the gps work for me or not ?
Please help.
The GPS itself works worldwide.
Only the software (Maplus) is only for Japan at the Moment.
But why we have Deniska with MapThis? *hehe*
Different PSP versions may have different "noise" levels, depending on particular unit and/or manufacturer..
PSP's internal circuitry emmits electromagnetic noise which may affect the reception of GPS signal.
In my tests with HOLUX GPSlim 240 recever I would "loose" 1-2 satellites whenever I move the recever close to PSP's USB port (same position PSP-290 would be if connected).
It would be interesting to see if PSP-290 exibits the same behavior. Perhaps someone could create extension cable for PSP-290 unit?
Thanks a lot mystheryman for ur prompt reply.
@deniska : do we expect better fixes on the upcoming version of MapThis!, if any.
Can anyone plz help me out:
My setup is not working under:
I have a PSP-290, with firmware 3.10OE-A'
I tryed the green proggie with the supplied 2.71 prx files, the 3.01 prx files and the 3.10 prx files with MapThis 0.461S 0.47 and 0.48(With the map made by GMDL 0.49). and tryed to change the Installation in the Config file between 0,1,2.
But, the signal strenght meter isn't working. It stays at 0. I am holding it in my car and drive though the city. tryed 3 different days and different weathers. But the signal strenght meter still remain 0.
I am in Vancouver B.C Canada. If some one live the same place like me, Please help to find the problem. Thanks a lot.
Sorry for my bad English.
