Help On Ps1 Emulator On Psp

i was trying to play final fantasy 7 on my psp and

i know how to convert to make the eboot and evrithing else. finaly i got the game to work and iam on the screen where it says new game or continue then i click new game and the screen goes black and stays that way. what iam i doing wrong any help is appreciated
