Question Slot 1 vs Slot 2 Devices

I already have a thread made because I need advice on what to buy for my DS, I have made my decision to get an M3 Lite Perfect. (but this could all change)

Anyway I have questions about slot 1/2 devices. Please tell me if the text I have written below is correct, if not, please correct me.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Slot 2 devices have a flashcart (e.g M3) and a nopass device (e.g Passcard 3)
    - Slot 1 devices have the flashcart and nopass device combined into 1 card (e.g M3 Simply)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Slot 2 devices can support external memory (mini SD and micro SD are 2 examples)
    - Slot 1 devices can support extenal memory too (same examples as above)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Slot 2 devices have full movie and mp3 support
    - Slot 1 devices also have full movie and mp3 support
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    - Slot 2 devices have full homebrew support (including GBA)
    - Slot 1 devices have a lot of homebrew support but not complete support. Some applications do not work with slot 1 devices. It also cannot support GBA things (You all know what I mean)
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

So am I correct in saying having a slot 2 device boils down to whether or not you wish to have rom support? If not, a slot 1 device does virtually everything a slot 2 device can do but at a CHEAPER PRICE?

Very true. OK, my statements are based on the M3, so are these statements true for M3 products?

Thanks. Can anyone tell me what the M3 Simply lacks in terms of homebrew support?
