Default PSP firmware help.... also, hello

Hello, I kind of signed on here for one thing really, but this one thing could possibly lead to a lot of other questions being raised from me, which in turn would facilitate more questions.... and possibly answers... im rambling... anyway, hello to people here, if you can help me, thanks very much..

My question is... will firmware update 3.03 ( which is currently only available in North America and such like) destroy my PSP if i install it on my PAL PSP?? I want to know beacuse the updates its got finally seem worthwhile, and I get all my updates from games I buy, (im currently on 2.80) so will it damage my PSP at all if i install a firmware update from another region??

If you can help, thanks very much..

Don't you dare upgrade to 3.03. Downgrade that 2.80 right this minute. go to www.noobz.eu and get the 2.80 downgrader. Downgrade to 1.5 and then come back for the next stage.

Ok then, but I have a question before I do this... Im trying to writethe HEN files onto the root folder of my PSP, but Im not sure exactly where to put them, i mean, if i get this wrong, then essentially its 200 pound down the tube, so My next question is, where exactly do i put the HEN files?

that doesnt help, it tells me to refer to the readme file, which says this:

Copy all contents inside MS_ROOT to the root of your memory stick.

I dont know where exactly that is, and im worried that if i put it in the wrong place, bang goes my psp.

EDIT: so do i overwrite my PSP folder with the PSP folder thats in the HEN folder?? im going to try that, Im sh*tting myself right now

The ms root is the first layer of filing of your PSP. It usually has a PSP folder in it.

There is no downgrader for that official 3.03 firmware as of yet.
