Question Regarding DCEmu Policy...

I think the area has gotten a little grey, so I would just like to confirm one way or the other...

I posted this in another thread, but I'm not sure if anyone saw it:

Gameboots can't be hosted on this site, but I take it they can be linked to on this site now, b/c Wraggster himself, posted a Halo Theme Pack link with a custom gameboot in it on the front page of PSP-news a couple days ago...

So could a mod, or someone with authority please make the issue clear for me?

I'm not on a crusade against gameboots. Quite the contrary. I think they are harmless. And I have some awesome gameboots I wouldn't mind sharing.

I would guess that the're legal. I see them hosted on sites all the time.

Well unfortunatley, the tools to make them are not. But Wraggster posted a LINK to one the other day.

So does that mean we can LINK to them, but not actually HOST the gameboots here?

I just made one of my Platstation 3 start up, that I would love to share.

Gameboots are illegal, $n!pR cleared this up in the staff forums already so no they can not be shared on DCEmu nor can they be links posted to wear you can find them.

Wraggster probably posted a link not knowing that the files contained illegal in fractional material.

ahh. i sent a pm to a mod when the halo theme was released, but no reply...this will do nicely!
