One more dumb question.. How exactly do I get my PSP to run at 333? I saw somewhere in this thread that you need to be in recovery mode? WTF is a recovery mode!? I'm completly new to the DA FW updates, since I came straight from a 1.5 PSP.

In the recovery mode, select the CPU speed option and chose whitch speed you want.

To access the recovery mode, hold the R sholder button as you turn on your PSP.

nice I just downgraded a friends 2.6 last night, Then upped it to 3.03 OE-B. Looks like imma have to tell him to stop by the house so i can up it to OE-C lol. Well thanks alot Dark Alex you are great a what you do man keep it up i hope to see more custom firmware. now im off to up my psp

How do I get to the recovery mode?

1. completely shut the PSP off, by holding the power switch UP for more than 5 seconds
2. press the R button (and keep it pressed) while switching the PSP back on

you should enter the recovery menu within 3/4 seconds. Unless you are on an original firmware... this only applies to custom ones...

Woo, it worked, thanks again. So does setting it to 333 in the XMB speed up anything other then the XMB? Such as hombrew and the like?

As far as I know, it speeds up the loading of UMD games. Not too sure about homebrew applications on the memory card. By the way, CPU speed in the XMB stays at 222mHz.
