What firmware versions are being shipped out now? (aka what should I do)

I live in the states, Illinois to be specific.

This is what threw me with the ta-082:

where it says it wont work with the ta-082, is there a version that is compatible with it?

I don't think that they will be low firmwares, in the U.K they are very low still, 2.00 are still in the shops.

Well as long as its 2.80 or below I should be ok correct?
