InFeCtuS is the first versatile modchip ever released in the market, created to work with many different consoles. InFeCtuS will give you access to so many features that it's impossible to describe them all today, some are still in development and more will come in the future.

This modchip was developed with an OPEN concept, uses CORE reprogrammable, a 512kb flash on board and an USB interface for the PC communication.

The first work to be done is to allow our users to flash directly the PS3 BIOS by USB. So no more problem with firmware, you can install everything you want, when you want. All the complications due to firmware versions that cannot be downgraded will not bother you anymore.

This solution will be released in the next 4 weeks!

Another new feature that we want to add is a REAL TIME patching of the firmware part that you want to be emulated from the chip. Being the 512Kb flash not enough to store a real dual firmware, we'll have to wait for the first hacked firmware to understand if a "real-time" patching will be possible. In case we won't be able to find more ideas, a new version of Infectus with a memory expansion bay will be released.

News from the WiiKey team:

We have received a lot of questions on the coming update lately.

The upgrade is now near completion. It has been delayed due to a few factors; the base system disc took longer than expected to complete, and there have been a few unexpected issues that are currently being worked on.

Making the update incompatible with clones is NOT one of those issues, though. We would also like to clarify that we do not intend to brick or render clones inoperable.

In the past 2 weeks or so, WiiKey Team has been shipping WiiKey's with hologram stickers. These stickers are similar to that of licensing stickers for softwares (Windows, etc.). This is to show that they are real WiiKey's and not clones.

We also included InFeCtuS to the list.

OpenWii.org has now released a new update that allows DVD upgrade. This is the first for open source modchips.

With the new Wii chipset having three pins missing (known as D2C), people have been wondering how will this now affect modchip installations. Here is a tutorial that shows you how to remove some of the chipset casing to expose the three pins on the D2C chipset.

If you are not experienced with modding with a dremel or soldering, do not perform this. We are not responsible for any damage done to your Wii.
