    Default downgrading my psp

so, i have a 2.81 psp, and yes, i know about the 3.03 downgrader, but the thing is that my umd drive doesn't work. so i was thinking if i could trade my psp's motherboard with my brother's psp, and downgrade it with his working umd drive. is that possible?

That's a shame, then. You'll probably just have to wait for a GTA-less downgrader if the UMD drive doesn't work. How did it break anyway?

Listen if you swap motherboards with your Bro this is how it works

He will have the motherboard with 2.81 firmware installed and the broken umd drive

and you will have the motherboard with OE C installed and the working umd drive

why would he have a broken umd drive if we only swapped motherboards?

because that's how it already is, one psp has 3.03 oe-c with working umd drive

and the other is 2.81 with a broken umd drive

They sell replacement UMD drives on Ebay. Just buy yourself a new one.
