so what's the question?
While there are a ton of commercially available GPS devices for windows, I want to be able to stick with one device for all my GPS needs. I use a OQO ultra portable all the time and would love to be able to use the PSP-290 GPS device instead of my Deluo GPS mouse. With the PSP, I have had no problems with the PSP-290 with MapThis, but I need advanced features from time to time that only my PC can currently do.
Thanks.
so what's the question?
Is it possible to have the PSP-290 work on Windows XP? As a generic GPS device if possible.
possible but highly unlikely...
Someone will have to re-write the drivers for it plus there is some info that the unit is powered via this connector with the screw, rather than usb port...
If you want a versitile device - go with holux gpslim 240 - with it's serial/usb/bluetooth adapters it would work with almost anything right away...
