it "normalizes" the dynamic of sounds.

supposed to be something to level all your music files, not hurting ur ears in case the volume changes from low to very high from one song to another. Not that useful if you already normalize ur playlists beforehand, but...

no prob. Upgrade is fine; but be prepared to some issues with your own custom icons (if u used to use any) because they don't work with 3.10 OE. They don't brick (because you can use recovery menu to reflash the originals) but may make your PSP look like it's bricked, aka black screen only and the like.

It DOES NOT play UMD movies region-free. My Region 2 FFVII does not play on my Region 4 PSP.

You need to go the recovery menu and enable the Free UMD Region setting under Configuration.

yes, the feature is _known_ not to work, as it didn't in 3.03 afaik, and there's nothing u can do atm, as only Him can fix this.
