Wii: Blockbuster(UK) not allowed to rent Wii games

Mabye it depends on what region you live in, like if your town only has one Wii console, would your local blockbuster really spend hundreds of dollars just for one person who might not even rent all the games?

And how would Blockbusters know that one person owns a Wii?

I walk into block buster to see if they have Wii games. They do, so I grab Avatar to see what it's like, go to the counter hand the dude my membership card, debit card, and the game. He responds, "Well sir there isn't a credit card on the account and I'm going to need one." I thow a puzzled look at the guy (who happens to be the store manager) and say, "Sir, I have enough money in my account to buy all of the wii games on the shelf, and I am giving you my business by choosing to rent one. I do not have a credit card and probably never will, and sir did you know it is harder to dispute a charge on a debt card than a credit card?" To that he reply's "Its policy I need a credit card" At that point I tell the dude to keep the game and I walk out.

Personally I think this is BS and just silly.

I donno, I was able to go to another movie place and rent one no problems, did blockbuster just recently change their policy?

At any rate, i'm never going there again. And a warning to anyone trying to rent a friggn Wii game from blockbuster.
