Can anybody direct me towards making icons for my psp?

Am I doing this right, for backgrounds I load image to photo then select as BG... Right if so now I need to know how to make icons and upload them onto my psp.

The PSP doesn't have built-in support for changing icons. You have to use a prog for windows which modifies topmenu_plugin.rco with your own icons.
You should find a program if you search this forum (I don't know exactly where to find one) or QJ's dl section.
