I just wanted to make a point about the updates also. The updates the Japanese system got where just the english bios. Meaning the US ones had better bios out of the box.

Yeah, but updating your Jap psp is piss easy and brings it up to date with US psp.

I guess the UMDS are region 1 so its pointless botherin, and IMO buying a US psp if you live in uk is a bit silly, you may be able to get UMD movies but whats the point when you could just buy a 512mb/1gig mem stick and rip movies to it.

..and the FirmWare isn't technically a bios.
