Rev Japanese hardware sales, Feb. 5 - Feb. 11

The DS is yet again way out infront in sales:

    Here they are:

    - DS Lite: 201,177
    - Wii: 78,550
    - PSP: 32,175
    - PS3: 23,431
    - PS2: 16,033
    - Xbox 360: 4,811
    - GBA SP: 980
    - Game Boy Micro: 884
    - Gamecube: 383
    - DS Phat: 121
    - GBA: 36

The Wii/DS tag team are trouncing Sonys efforts in Japan, if they bring out connectivity soon between the consoles then watch Wii sales go through the roof.

It looks like the DS Lite has had a sales increase by some 50,000 from last weeks reading. PSP sales appears to have gone up by about 1,000 as well.

Nintendo must be amazed at how much they are trouncing the PS3 in what was the strongest area for PS2 sales.

The DS has really took over as the best handheld even though its way underpowered compared to PSP but the same applies to Wii.

Amazing that those with most power are struggling

Hmm. Well basically Nintendo's #1 focus is quality fun games. And look how their hardware is selling. They are not trying to be the most powerful or multi-functional on the block but yet they are the top selling.

The DS alone had 56,10 % of market share this week, and Wii 21,91%. Sony had in total 19,98%, while Nintendo, with GC, GBA, DS, Wii, had 78,68%. For Microsoft left 1,34%.

I'm not surprised about this, Nintendo knows what they are doing.
