1. Moonshell can't handle some JPEGS, and it's either interlaced ones or progressive ones that have trouble (can't remember).
2. Not too sure. It's probably because it can't scale the image down with the limited RAM of the DS.
3. The image is too large, and the DS isn't very powerful, so it becomes difficult for Moonshell to keep up with the entire image at once. Smaller images let you scroll around much easier. I've also noticed that it scrolls with less loading when viewing at 100% or 50%, as those modes don't have the extra filtering enabled.
4. You want Comic Book DS. Yes, you have to convert beforehand, but after that it functions much like both Moonshell and DSOrganize put together, plus tons of other features. You can have a preview pane at the bottom like DSOrganize, or you can use both screens at once like Moonshell. You can use progressive zooming as well, and you can turn the DS on its side if you want. I would highly recommend it.
