    he used a guide line..... either by scanning or using a pasted image and traced other it.

    Those ill coloured squares that s/he is trying to remove near the beginning once the main part has been drawn and completed is the proof.

    Paint just doesn't put those random odd colours in, i know cause ive done sprite/backgrounds and other random images from scratch in paint. But still the colouring that guy has done is pretty good.

    That wasn't very impressive at all until he started coloring it. Then it looked cool.
    But yeah, he did neglect the L and R triggers...
