    What i don't like is when they say, without homebrew, the DS is completely a better system and stuff.
    You have to realize, you can not take away something thats already there. You can't say well the Colts would have lost the superbowl with Peyton manning. They have Peyton Manning and the psp has homebrew.

    The psp has the best homebrew scene around, mostly due to its superior power. Homebrew gamers however only make up a small fraction of gaming as a whole.

    The Nintendo DS has maybe the best commercial game releases along with the inovative touch screen support. It definitly gives a twist on how you browse and play games on the Nintendo DS.

    The commercial gaming aspect of the PSP isn't half bad as there are some really good games that even i enjoy. Ratchet and clank size matters for instance is a great game that i enjoyed playing.

    The only thing that i don't like about Nintendo in how they handle there handheld is there increasingly bad habit to re-release there handhelds in a slightly different form, weather it be smaller or has slight technical changes.

    so, practically, PSP is kicking DS's ass in terms of popularity as well, if u checked BBC news:thumbup:

    FWIW, I have both systems and plenty of income to buy games and I don't get it when people just assume the DS has better software. I think DS outright sucks game wise if you're a grown up. The PSP has so many great titles: MGS: Portable Ops, Syphon Filter, X-Men Legends, Marvel UA, GTA: LCS, GTA: VCS, Ratchet & Clank, Navy Seals, ec, etc! I play my PSP about 6-7X as often and the multimedia power of the PSP crushes.

    A lot of developers force the touch screen on the DS where it doesn't really work too. Don't get me wrong overall that's a cool feature but it can actually mess up a a game too. Really if I had to give one up, I wouldn't even have to think about it. PSP wins for me, easy, even without 'brew.

    The argument that the Nintendo DS has better commercial games doesn't really fly with me anymore. I know the touch screen is innovative, the built-in mic is awesome, and the wifi seems better done on the DS. However, I have a DS Lite (Black) with probably a dozen or so of the best games but because of the PSP I barely touch the thing.

    Yes, like others here I have neglected the amazing DS Lite in favor of the PSP. This is in large part due to emulation (gpSP, PSX, and many others) but the PSP now also has a very respectable library of commercial games.

    So between the great commercial PSP games, and all of the homebrew & emulation, I very much favor the PSP.

    Now I can understand people who have never messed with PSP homebrew thinking that the DS Lite is better, because in a lot of ways it is a more fun and intuitive little handheld. But I think the PSP will see growth in sales & popularity over the next year.

    I throw this in on every thread that it is relevant to. If the PSP had more unique exclusive RPG titles, it would compete much better with the DS Lite. It is my opinion that the PSP is better suited for RPG's than the DS Lite but yet we are not seeing too many. Hopefully 2007 will see lots of great RPG's for the PSP.

    well as a whole both portables have there pro's and con's. The most known opinion that most users have is that the DS has the best commercial gaming. The PSP has the best homebrew.

    I do agree that the PSP is catching up if not passed the DS interms of commercial gaming as i myself own a PSP and i find it alot better than a Nintendo DS.

    dont know about other country's but the average American consumer is a idiot the psp is to complicated god know just from people looking at my homebrew features i have single handedly set many ds users to the game store to buy a psp i send them all to this site give them rom sites and even with all the read me that come with all of the emulators it is still to hard and most of them offer to pay even though i give them all the info for free so now i have a small business just because people are to stupid or to lazy to do the work them self that is why i think the psp is not doing better it is a shame the psp is hands down the better system :thumbup:

    I think that the PSP games don't get enough publicity and advertising, and that the media player in the PSP isn't that appealing to many, because you need to buy a memory stick to hold your media, unlike something like the iPod.

    DS = 35.61 million
    PSP = 11.21 million
