Microsoft has released its third patch to try to fix wireless troubles with the Surface RT tablet.
The new patch is designed to stop some system crashes that are caused by certain Wi-Fi issues. The fix also improves Wi-Fi to handle a wide range of access points, and resolves some ‘limited’ connectivity issues.
There Surface Pro has also received a patch that aims to fix a bug that disables the Wi-Fi driver when airplane mode is toggled. As well as this, the new patch smoothes out a few connectivity glitches with the Touch cover and Surface Type. It adds support for Japanese keyboards on North American hardware, and resolves an issue with on screen touch navigation in the UEFI boot menu.
To check for updates on your Surface tablet, click Settings, then Change PC Settings, under PC Settings select Windows Update, and click Check For Updates.
