Compatibility problems with DGEN

First off, I'd like to say I really like this emulator. And I assume it's the best one out there.

But some of my favorite games are unplayable on DGEN:

Strike games (urban, jungle, desert)
Road Rash 3
Castlevania Bloodlines
Contra Hard Corps

Is there another emulator I should grab to play these?

What version of DGEN are you using? If I remember correctly, Castlevania Bloodlines works fine for me with the newest version. You can get the newest version here: http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=33662
If that doesn't work, then your roms maybe be messed up/bad dumps/wrong format.

Use PSPGenesis, though when I've been using that recently it's shut down my PSP, worryingly.

More compatible though. When it's working.
