Which Firmware?

I'm going to borrow GTA to downgrade to 1.50 and was wondering if i should upgrade to another firmware or was 1.5 the best.

I don't want to use the GTA loader for my homebrew because i would have to buy it.

And i would like to know some guides for installing homebrew.

Go to 1.50, then update to custom firmware 3.03OE or 3.10OE depending if you want fancy xmb icons

I was thinking about that but when i went to http://psp-homebrew.eu/ but for 3.03 OE it only had 29 confirmed entries compared to 1.5's 48 entries.

I was wondering, do the custom firmwares have the same homebrew capability as 1.5?

Yes 3.03/3.10 OE have the same abilites as 1.50 but have a recovery menu to save you from semi-bricks, plus run the XMB/games at 333mHz and more.
