Hope it helps
I've read all the tutorials I could find but they all pretty much say the same thing and I always run into the same problem. I get to the part when it says something like "windows will say found psp type b" but my computer doesnt do that. When I tried dumping a umd from dax dumper my computer just made the sound like it had found new hardware, only 4 time in rapid succession but no message appeared. I think that I might possibly not have the driver installed, but I can't find it anywhere (is it the same as the mass storage driver?, because the mass storage works fine).
Any help is appreciated.

Same thing happened. four sounds in rapid succession, but no message. Where do I put the pc driver? C:/windows/system32?
Just put the PC_DRIVER on ur desktop and when you press square on ur psp you will hear a sound on the pc... then a windows will come up to install the device... then you click on the bottom one and choose the PC_DRIVER folder on your desktop
No i think if it doesnt come up then you add hardware in controll panel... then the bottom option add new device... then find psp typeb
I press square. I hear the sounds (like 3 or 4 of them). No window comes up asking me for the driver. Besides the sounds, nothing happens. The memory light flashes when I enable/disable the usb (by pressing square).
^^^^^^^^
if it doesnt come up then you add hardware in controll panel... then the bottom option add new device... then find psp typeb
psp type b is not in the list of connected hardware
I dont think it is called PSP type B... I think it mite be under Portable Device or something like that
I finally got it to work. It is called "PSP Type B" Thank you very much for your help.
