    Angry How can I unshare a video card's memory?

    hey there!

    i recently bought a notebook with the following specs:

    AMD Turion 64 Mobile 2000 Mhz
    512 RAM DDR2
    ATi Radeon Xpress 1100 (200G Series)
    80Gb HardDrive
    Ect...

    My question is: of the 512 RAM, 128 are being used by the graphic card so basically i am only able to use 384 (or so..) of RAM memory, bieng that the graphics card is "256" MB... how can i put it back to a 128 MB graphics card and use all the RAM as RAM? by this i mean 512 RAM instead of 384...

    Well, look in the bios. If the setting isn't there, you can't change it.

    Ya look into the bios, normally it should say like press F2 for spsetup and in there you should be able to lower your shared memory but from what I can say is that you definately need more RAM I personally recomend 1gig for windows XP and atleast 2gig for vista and with a decent speed (ddr2 800 for example) also...

    thank u guys xD i was already thinking about putting more RAM

    btw my prob is solved... although not entirely... i don't have 512RAM bu 491MB

    lmao...
