Default Introducing DSmini, the first DS web page.

As you all know, the inclusion of the web browser in DSOrganize 2.7a is creating quite the buzz. With other browsers such as Gnirfleo and Okiwi on the way, the thought of surfing the net on our DS' and DS lites is not just a pipe dream anymore.

Unfortunately, most websites are formatted to display on a large computer monitor. In recent years, the resolution standard of most home PCs went from 800x600 to 1024x768. This resolution is far too large for the DS' total screen resolution of 256x384. That is why I started the DSmini project.

DSmini will be a DS resolution format website all about the Nintendo DS and homebrew. I hope to deliver great amounts of data on two small sized screens. But it isn't just the size of the layout, it's also the load time concerns. DSmini will use very little images so that pages load FAST. However, the layout will still retain an attractive look.

This website will be aimed at the DS homebrew scene, much like this one. Don't think of it as a competitor, more like a compliment while surfing on your DS. Eventually, as homebrew web browsers become more and more advanced, more features on the site will open up, including (what I hope for) simple online games with leaderboards and stats.

I've created a simple preview of what one of the pages "could" look like.

The top screen will be reserved for navigation, while the bottom screen contains all of the content. Scrolling up and down will of coarse be included, but the maximum width will always be 256 pixels to ensure perfect scaling.

As you can see, the layout will be very simple yet attractive. I want this site to be highly accessible to all DS surfers on the internet.

Please keep an eye on updates as the web browser scene becomes more reliable and supported.

I have parked the domain: DSmini.net

Thank you, and I will always need help keeping this site up! Let me know if you're interested.

Here's what it "could" look like on an actual DS.

I think you understood what we are trying to create.
We're not making another portal of lnks to mobile websites, were creating our own DS News and Info website. With the latest news on homebrew updates, and possibly a DS/mobile friendly forum.

Have you tried using a vBulletin board on the DS?
How about accessing DCemu.co.uk? What about Blogs?

At the moment I have made a temporary site with a quick basic template I created so I have something to code around to get a basic idea of the final look.

This probably will not be the final layout, as i've said, I've only created it as a base template.
