Foxconn has unveiled a smartwatch that can measure vital signs like respiration and heartbeat, as well as check phone calls and social media posts.
According to a report by Want China Times, Foxconn outlined a number of the devices features at a shareholders meeting.
The device, which is yet to be named, interacts with a user’s iPhone over a wireless interface.
"With such a device, you can keep your phone in your pocket and simply check all kinds of messages on your watch," said Terry Gou, the head of Hon Hai Precision Industry - the name of Foxconn's parent company.
Apple has been working on its own smartwatch, along with the likes of Samsung, Google andMicrosoft.
Just last week Sony unveiled its SmartWatch 2, which works with Android phones.
