just bought 4gb sony card not working

I got firmware 3.03 oc /1.5 special edition,

just bought 4gb sony card stuck it in, and nothing happens, it dosn't accknowledge the card.

Why is this anyone know?

I think it is most likely you have landed up with a fake memory stick, if the PSP cannot read it. Have you tried other memory sticks to see if they worked though?

Maybe try formatting it using your computer, if it has a card reader?

have you..

1. tried formating it
2. usb connecting
3. check its not dammaged
4. check with your old card that the connections In the psp are good
5. if you have one, check it through a card reader (or a ps3)

if not its most likely a faulty card.
