PSP firmware 3.30 decrypted!

Will this mean that you can downgrade from 3.30 to 1.50 or something. I'm trying to play homebrew games or an emulator or something but it won't let me. I am not good with technical stuff so I don't really know what I'm doing.

This means that there is the potential for a 3.30 downgrader. However, it doesn't mean that there will be one any time soon. 3.11 has been out for a while, and decrypted too, but there still isn't a downgrader for that.

Before a 3.30 downgrader can be made, first someone has to find a way to execute homebrew inside of the XMB. That, in itself, is the hardest part. Sony goes to great lengths to make sure that there is no potential way to kill off the XMB, and run your own programs. So, until someone finds a crack in 3.30's armor, you're not getting a downgrader. This could be a while.

While you wait, you have a decision to make: do you wait a good long time, possibly months, for a downgrader for your firmware, and stay at 3.30 until that happens, or do you embrace Sony and upgrade willy-nilly. The two options are mutually exclusive. If you continue to upgrade your firmware, your chances of getting a downgrader decrease exponentially. If you really want homebrew, just sit tight and wait.

When a firmware is decrypted it means that we can now dump all the essencials from which would otherwise go to flash0 and flash1 on to our memorystick. They come as prx's, rco's, as well as font and picture format. Finding an exploit that allows code to be run such as a downgrader is far from decryption. So no, you still cant downgrader 3.30.
