General games Worms Open Warfare 2 pops up

    Via Eurogamer

THQ has confirmed in its latest release schedule that we'll be seeing more wriggly Worms on handhelds this summer.

Worms Open Warfare 2 is due to appear on DS and PSP in July - just four months after the arrival of the first game.

Unfortunately THQ was unable to offer us any comment on what we could expect to change in this offering, but it will almost certainly attempt to iron out problems that stopped the original reaching its full potential.

Also new to our hive-mind was a listing for DS title Drawn To Life, scribbled down for a September release.

Here you'll be challenged to grasp your stylus and populate the world with your creations, ranging from characters and animals, up to planets - literally painting the night sky.

You'll then be able to explore the entire world, battling through scrolling platform levels with your freshly made creations. And don't worry, if you're cack-handed like us, then you'll be pleased to know there are a slew of templates to use to get you started.

Worms Open Warfare has been out in the US for almost a year. I'm a huge worms fan, but the DS version feels like it was hastily thrown together. the game could have been really great, but there are so many dumb little problems that it feels like nobody did any quality control testing before letting it out the door. if all version 2 does is fix the problems of the first one, I'll be happy.

Well, if the worms no longer randomly fall through the floor, it'll be an improvement.

I had many many complaints about this game, back when it was released.
Wonder if I can google my list.
    ..
    Can't seem to find it.
    Aw well.

    It was a large list!

DS worms multiplayer was awesome but there was too many bugs and not enough weapons. Ninja Rope was perfect.

I agree. The DS versions graphics really look like no one bothered converting them for the use on the DS. I can't speak to the bugs or not as I really have not seen any to say, but then again the graphics are so horrid I don't play it much.

I want a Wifi version on the DS. That'd make it much more appealing. The bugs in multiplayer mode are something that need to be fixed obviously.
