This is a little challenge for you emulator coders. The best version of 8bit Elite is not working on any current emulator (looks like it's a problem on multiple systems). Maybe it has some weird graphics routines or something but the screen is all messed up.
You can find the .nes rom at Ian Bell's own Elite web page. He is the current copy right owner and released Elite to the public several years ago. According to him, the creator, the NES version is the best of them all.

I haven't quit gpSP, just put it on hiatus for a while.
Games like Super Mario Advance 3, Riviera and Sword of Mana actually DO work in gpSP, believe it or not. If they don't work for you then you're using the faulty BIOS. Don't argue with me, it's true; the sooner you accept this the sooner you can move on.
Any NES emu coders had a chance to take a look at the Elite game? Any news on improved NES emulators around?
