This topic sure explains a lot =P.

I'm 20, and my dad started letting me drive when I was 11. By 14 I knew how to (and I learned on a car without power steering, feels like your arms are gonna get ripped off). This of course was only during the summer which we would spend in an extremely rural part of Montana.

Funny, I was about 13 when my uncle threw me in the drivers seat of his $#@!ty accord and forced me how to learn on a stick shift. Made me drive threw my neighbor hood, which doesn't get much traffic luckily. when i was 15 I was driving on those long distance family trips. Im now 19 and only recently got my own car... It happens to be that $#@!ty accord with stick shift i mentioned earlier.
