if you mean buying a new psp ebay or (uk) bargin pages are you're best bet.

or you could even buy a new mobo for you're current psp which is cheaper but a pain in the ass.

I just bought a 1.5 off of a forum (Gp32x.com) by checking the marketplace areas of forums that I frequent. It's not as "safe" as ebay or a store but you just might find a 1.5, and a deal to boot.

I found mine within 2-3 days of beginning my search.

best u can do is ebay, or just buy a psp at walmart. look at the label on the box and find one single letter standing alone, if its the letter K, u found a 2.71 psp which is good cuz u can downgrade that to 1.50 wit out using an LCS umd unpatched. if u find anything above the letter K, say u find L, that is 2.81 and u need to update to 3.03 and use the LCS unpatched umd to downgrade to 1.50

If you want a good forum to buy things try Anandtech, they have pretty reliable trade there, just make to check the seller“s Heatware. Or you could see if your local Gamestop/EB Games has a 2.71 or lower that someone traded in as xg917 said.

Try a pawn broker or something, they would sell PSP's regardless of their firmware for very cheap..

Go get a 2.71 or lower PSP and we could walk you through the downgrade process here

Or even get a psp that’s on a higher firmware (2.81 - 3.03) and use the noobz easy downgrader to get to 1.5!

I must have downdated about 20 machines now (using both methods of getting to 1.5) and I haven’t bricked one machine yet! If you go and buy a 1.5 machine from somewhere like ebay you pay through the nose for the privilege! ...downgrade it your self its super easy to do - just make sure you follow all the instructions with the readme files... then its just a short step from getting to custom firmwares!
