CNET editor says DS for girls, PSP for adults

i would only get a DS if it was a PSP.

Only reason I would get a DS is if a DS Golden Sun comes out or if something really cool comes out for connection to the Wii. The DS is not a bad system though, it has more game options and a different way to play than any other major game system, but it lacks the power, potential, and graphics the PSP has.

Of course if the PSP was never hacked, it would be the worst system out there with only a few great titles to choose from, I swear I have only bought 3 game UMDs for the PSP, and will at most have only ten by the end of it's lifespan. Homebrew saved the PSP and made it the best handheld ever made.

Thats not entirely true, homebrew has caused the sales of PSP games to decline because of its ISO loading capabilities which in turn made developers less inclined to consder the PSP as a place to develop their games.

ISO capabities hindered sales but not as much as your led to believe , the sales figures of Sony UMD's wouldn't be impressive either way , look at the ps2 for example loads of people copied PS2 games illegaly using the PS2 hard drive but it didn't affect the platforms ability to shift platinum titles alot.

The black DS Lite is what I have and I'd have no problem pulling it out in public. The white and pink DS Lite are better suited for girls and kids though.

Either way, the DS Lite is a neat little system. It just doesn't compare to the PSP in my opinion.

The 2 platforms, although both portable, are vastly different.

The black DS looks like a sweet beast to me, almost like the PSP. Oh my goodness I want my PSP back, aaaahhhh!

PSP is for people who like games and want to play music and videos on a handheld.

Am I the only sane one on this forum? The DS is NOT just a kiddie system. I own one and I love it. I also own a PSP and love it too. I know MANY guys who own a DS. Just because it has less violent but more innovative games doesn't make it kiddie. Seriously, calling the DS or Wii a kiddie console just means you can't think of a real reason to criticize that console, which in turn makes you the immature one.
