Problems getting either Pixie or Bookr to run...

I'm running 3.10 OE-A2 and I'm having a heck of a time trying to get an ebook viewer working. I've tried Pixie (beta 2) and at least the icon shows up in the memory stick, but when I try to run it, it freezes where it says "reading config." And as for Bookr (071), all I get from it is a corrupted icon. There was no readme associated with Bookr, and the readme that came with Pixie didn't address this at all. Anyone else run into this problem or otherwise know how to get them going?

I'm using 3.80 customware on my psp phat with 1.50 add-on.
When I open a specificically pdf doc i get error mssg on pages that have images on them.
When I open scanned in pdf files of books - i get loading message then psp turns off!!
Help pls
