US PSP homebrew

I have been tooling wiht the code in the psp software update looking for the signature that allows it to run on the psp. However, I dont know if the actual Sony signature exists or if it is some sort of encryption that blocks homebrew from running on US psp's.

Does anyone know what it is?

More than likely there are a number of dynamic signatures. Even if you could extract the sig from a file, that sig would not work with any other file. Most encryption uses bits of the file itself to generate the sig. So a simple cut and past just wont fly ......
