So whats the deal with custom themes and icons? Do they work good? Is there alot of work involved in getting custom icons onto 3.30?

I ask this because I want to upgrade to 3.30 OE-A for the sake of using improved remote play, but I don't want to have to forsake my PSP theme.

Well first do you have a 1.5 firmware PSP? If you don't:

    -What firmware do you have?
-- If the firmware is capable of downgrade, then you will need to downgrade to 1.5 to install this.

-- If the firmware is not capable of downgrade, then you cannot install this. However, if your firmware is low enough to reach a higher, downgradable firmware, you may be in business.

Secondly, I would like to say that if you truly do not understand the readme included with this, then you should not use this. There is a chance that it can brick (ie destroy) your PSP if done incorrectly.

Just made my leep of faith and upgraded direct from 1.50, I have been using devhook for last year or so but wanted to play all games and emulators without restarting psp.

This is great, it does just that.

I could do with some help.

can anyone provide me with a name or link to a video convertor that will convert to the full screen of the psp.

also how do you use the PS1 software on this firmware?

dazman: I recommend trying out XviD4PSP first for video converting. It supports the latest high-resolution featured in firmware 3.30.

To use the PSX emulator, I recommend trying out a GUI. I use PSX2PSP.
Then just convert your dumped CDs using PSX2PSP to EBOOT format and copy over to the PSP and play. There should be a complete guide around here somewhere.

By the way, congratulations with your leap. I'm almost 100% sure you won't go back to 1.50 again of a reason like disliking it.

    Default I love custom firmware

    Many thanks.

I will give both a try, this firmware is the best and I only wish I'd started using it early.

    Default yeah!

great! I can now use my PSP to control my PS3 (I hope) It couldn´t be done before, because I upgraded my PS3 to 1.60 and my PSP´s firmware was to low(FW 3.03). Sure hope it works well now. Good job Dark Alex

    Can anyone help.

    I am running 3.30oe-a

I love it but I am having problems playing videos.

it plays my old videos but if I convert to 480x272 all i get is unsupported file.

I have used xvid4psp, pspvideo 9 all the new verison for psp 3.30 and also renamed evry way possible and placed vids in video folder and also mp root for both avc and mpeg4, I give up.

please if someone is using this firmware and has recoded a video to work on it at 480x272 please explain in full how to do it and what software to use.

    thanks
    Dazman
