PSP: Custom Firmware 3.30 OE-A released!

I hate any other FW higher than 3.03 OE-C. And because why?... The VCS cheatdevice does NOT work and mostly any of my other plugins like mp3module and multiple plugins together. I'm kinda seeing why this is happening. It's because the plugins are overloading the PSPs memory and can't load up these plugins. If I'm wrong, then I don't know what's going on with this $h!^. I wish this could be fixed so I can move on to higher FWs. I don't think it matters now sinse I got the Hotspot internet to work with 3.03OE-C. I have proof of this.

I've been looking for gta but everytime they dont have or no stock, cause in my country they dont have patched gta yet.

So anyone can help us out here, by telling us if anyone working on downgrade yet after 3.03,
and maybe a date u think you'll be done, at least just a clue, like i am gonna have to wait a full year or longer to get downgrade or just couple more weeks

and why te flip do we have to buy a ps3, then buy ps1 games, to play them on psp when i already got 100s of games on ps1, im not ganna buy those games again seriously f*** this, sony people should make a downgrade for psp it their fault in 1st place

If it bothers you that much, code your own downgrader. Get Gta off eBay or somewhere

Well, if you can crack encryption cyphers, reverse engineer MIPS assembly code, then modify it, crack encrypted binaries meant to reinforce encryption, and find exploits in software developed by possibly hundreds of highly paid programmers, with the resources of a technology giant behind them, be my guest. I've got a few friends patiently waiting for a downgrader, but they know they can't do any better, so they just continue to wait.

That's been the story in most cases. However, if your country never had an unpatched GTA to begin with, then you'll never see one. Try importing one via eBay or from some other online resaler willing to ship internationally.

That's the problem with security hacking, you never know how long it's going to take. The latest PSP firmware is the fourteenth revision of the software (I think), and Sony's put a lot of time, money, and effort into keeping us out, so expect it to take a while. In some cases, like with some of the >2.60 firmwares, they were lazy and never changed the encryption. In some cases, they were craftier.

...what? Why should Sony make a downgrader? It's AGAINST their best interests. And what do you mean "it their fault"? It's highly likely they planned this so that they could sell more games, and promote the PLAYSTATION NETWORK STORE. Microsoft has the XBox Live Arcade, Nintendo has the Virtual Console, and Sony has the PLAYSTATION NETWORK STORE. Each of those three stores/internal emulation systems is reselling old games that people likely still own. It's entirely possible that Microsoft and/or Nintendo could develop a USB attachment that reads physical ROM cartridges, and runs them through an emulator. But then they would make less money than if they re-sold you every game. It's all about making money. To be honest, I don't begrudge them on this one. It's the fact that it's locked into the PLAYSTATION 3 (remember, if it's not capitalized, it's not official), and that they haven't released any A-list titles yet.

1st i'll never be able to make a downgrader so scratch that option, and i cant use ebay cause i dont got no bank acount i can use, then i dont see why you saying i'll never see gta in my country, the shops said they had it, and i just gone there today and told them they can sms me when they get a copy so hopefully soon
also please use proper english, im no engineer or works for sony

ya, and i know sony ain't gonna make a downgrader and of cource they did this on purpose, they just made this to proctect against piracy, but it doesn't have to be bout piracy; and the fact remain that i either get a downgrader or buy a ps3 + the ps1 games again which is not gonna happen.

psp is all bout homebrew and memory for movies n games, dont have those then its just plain boring
1 more thing why te huh are those memory stick duo pro 3x more xp than a regular camera\cellphone mem. stick it's just 1mm smaller

and if psp doesn't have homebrews enabled, then buying a psp isn't much worth it, i paid 400$ for psp + 1 game + 1 gig, but i got bored in 2 weeks.
but if sony made a big HDD in it + homebrew enabled then i would gladly paid even more for it (ok maybe a little more), even if they sold their psp game on da net they still would get more money, also the demand for psp would go up.

well that like a dream console powerul processor, massive internal HDD, ps1, gba, mame, n64, even gamecube n ps2 emulators on it, + movies, music, internet... ahhhh...hmmm... what else touch screen? foldable screen + screen protector:thumbup: online pc gaming

Well, I never really said the primary motivation was piracy. All I said was that in the U.S. the "borrowing" of a friend's PSX game for the purpose of making a PSP-compatible eBoot was technically piracy. Not that I care.

Sony doesn't have to make a downgrader. They just have to unencrypt POPS eBoots. But then they'd lose sales. I agree, the requirement of the PS3 is outrageous, and hopefully Sony will be opening up the PLAYSTATION NETWORK STORE (not yelling, that's just how it's officially spelled) to other platforms. Of course, knowing them, they'll probably shun all us Mac OS X and Linux users.

To be honest, I'm not a big fan of Sony at all. The produce needlessly proprietary hardware, with overly conovulted and overpriced software. Just look at OpenMG Jukebox and SonicStage. Oh, and the fact that they seem to have some sort of major grudge against Mac OS X (despite the fact that they have collaborated with Apple, and Apple buys their batteries from them) and anything open source (IE: Linux/UNIX/BSD/etc.)

Yeah, that's just silly. Again, Sony is a company, and their purpose is to produce a profit. Given that they exist in a monopolistic competitive state, In LR π=0.

Actually, until the 2.71 downgrader came out, I used my PSP as a portable radio (podcasts via the RSS Network section) and as a web tablet. It was rather annoying when my school switched the campus to WPA Enterprise, and I'm hoping Sony will add support for that sometime in the future.

Huh? You mean expensive? Because when I see "xp" I think experience. It has to do with the development of flash memory technologies. As greater and greater amounts of memory is crammed into the die, the process to produce it must work on a smaller and smaller scale. Throw in the fact that they have to produce this memory with a long enough life span (flash memory can only be read and written to a limited number of times, then it finally ceases to function), and you've got some expensive R&D and fabrication processes to undergo. I remember when 2 GB of flash memory was crazy expensive. This also is partly why I dislike Sony. MSDuoPro is more expensive than competing technologies (Secure Digital/Mini/Micro, xD, etc.) because it's a proprietary technology.

You apparently bought the wrong game. Loco Roco, SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo, Me and My Katamari, Lumines, Daxter and [i]Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters[i] were hella fun. [i]Valkyrie Profile[i] was awesome, if you want a semi-non-linear RPG.

I don't know if you've looked at the price for MicroDrives recently, but they're pretty expensive (on small scales, more expensive than flash memory). Throw in the fact that they suck tons of power, and are several orders of magnitude more fragile than flash memory, and you've got a crazy-fragile PSP that's priced around an iPod.

well i didn't have the choice 4 da game, it came with the psp, and i did a some fun with it, but after a month with 1 golf game then it gets boring, but i recently but metal gear ac!d 2, n its pretty fun also it was cheap so ya. but trust me i know my games, played almost every ps2 games, ps1 too, got also basically every online pc games, some in jap if not free in english like cabal, n many others, got psp, gba, atri, master system, genesis, some other old ones, gamecube, n64, sega saturn emulator, so ya i got my experience in game testing here, n i know when the games i buy are gonna work or not or what could be better in it.

also personally there are better game than those you mentioned like bleach4 + naruto even though they in jap

also play valkyrie profile on ps1 so dont wanna buy 4 psp, tales of ... are cool as well, disgaea, new mgs should be sick, new dbz, monsta hunter, sonic, pleny pleny more, had like a list of 110 games for psp that i wanted

lastly dont say me dream console aint gonna happen, its very possible even if its not soon, and illegal huh wat you talking bout, why, look at psp also got lotsa emulator on it, so thats nonsense talk, HDD in it very possible too, again look at ipods;
fragile... well im no pro at this so dunno, but someone will find something , right?...

Expensive, well ya, but even psp took me two years of pocket money savings to buy it.
but anyone would want to buy that console even if it is expensive; i mean something like this wouldnt be over $450, so if people can afford 360 or wii, then they can afford this baby too

umm really doubt on that one, i'm no pro but I really dont think that psp is powerful enough to emulate ps2 games.
even if you look at emulator on computer most of them requires more memory than they actually need on than on the actual console.
i've tried ps2 emulator on pc but didnt work well for me, so i doubt it for psp.
also anyone do have ps2 emulator running soothly on their pc plz send link, or info; my pc is good enough so dont say it depend on pc.
