Quake has got a fair bit of playtime on my PSP, so I'm sorry to hear that you can't work on it anymore, and sorry that the PSP homebrew scene has lost a good coder due to a conflict of interest that may not even exist *sigh*.

I wish you well with your future family (I'd get right on that if I were you, children are awesome) your other homebrew endeavours and, well, life!

I don't see the contradiction. The first half of my reply talked of it not being his choice and the second half refers to his actual situation of having to quit his job to continue working on homebrew which is not really a way to make a living. No life, no homebrew.

That's where you don't see the 4th choice. I would always be able to afford a drug one of my children needed.

Please don't try to paint me as a bad person for standing up for a dev.

To Peter: Good luck coding. I look forward to more quality commercial releases. I hate to say it but the commercial scene seems to need good coders even more than the homebrew scene.

If you need help with translating/communicating between yourself and Pixel, I'd be happy to help.

He did have a choice, I was critical about whether he spent any effort at all looking into if there was a third option, even if it seemed doubtful. Now I apolagized to Peter M because I was under the mistaken impression that he was the one that decided to get into the psp biz and because I was wrong to assume he believed strongly in GPL. I was too hasty to judge and finding out more information changed things.

You're going beyond the question. But alright. I'll play. This is based off of a story I saw in the news. You have twins that have a rare form of muscular dystrophy. Explain to me how you are going to pay $800 000/yr for thier treatment, or agree with me that a good person would at least try other options before stealing the drug. I think a good person would try begging the pharmacy owner or the pharmaceutical company, try getting in the news, check out various charities and support programs, etc. And I bet a judge would be a lot more lenient on a person who had tried all these things and gotten caught stealing the drug after, than somone who didn't. I'm pretty sure you know I'm right on this one.

Please don't try to paint me as a bad person for standing up for a dev.
I don't remember blaming you for standing up for Peter, do you? If you do then you are in denial. Standing up for a dev doesn't make you a bad guy, unless if by "standing up" for him you mean by putting somone else down and by making rediculous assumptions about them instead of by explaining the situation, then yeah, you might think that making that choice might make you a little bit of a bad guy. Were you the person who you want to be at that moment?

Now I acted like a man and apolagized to Peter M for the unfair criticisms that I made and the way I chose to express myself. Now the question is, will you be a man and step up and apolagize to me?

    Please don't argue guys!
Don't forget that CSwindle is still working on Quake-PSP and V3 will be reliased (maybe very soon!), and it will blow your minds!
maybe we get to put out a good PSP game. (The platform doesn't have enough of these.)
So, GL in commercial PSP-dev, Pete
