Default Emulators and homebrew on ps3

I have finally got my ps3 and after a few weeks of playing resistance i am now going to start trying linux emulators and such, but i am only going to see if they run, as im on standard def, so the linux interface is a bit hard to work on. anything i find that works or that i have managed to recompile i will attach here. I will try to do weekly updates and any help from other people is greatly appreciated.
dont expect anything till next week or so though, because i am going to download as many emus as i can in one go and test which are best for each system on my linux machine before recompiling.
my goal is to get almost everything available thats worth having on linux and port it. Stay tuned for more!

Right, heres the first update, i have found out that a special compiler is required for the ps3 cbe, and am having trouble finding it. Also, my Linux disc broke and my brother (16, techno-idiot) decided to find out what´format drive´ does. now downloading linux @ 2kb a sec, while wading through approx: 10,000,000 results for Cell Broadband Engine Compiler. Any Help PLEASE!
i think this is gonna have 2 b a team effort, not just me getting dizzy from too many search results and staring at a little box thats telling me im gonna have 2 wait 2-4 weeks (fluctuating) b4 i get linux on my ps3 again... :-(
