Nintendo software and hardware dominated sales in Japan during the first half of 2013. The house of Mario shifted more games than any other publisher in Japan in the first six months of the year, with 3DS titles leading the way, according to data published by Famitsu (via Nintendo Everything). On the hardware front, as of July 21, Media Create data (via NeoGAF) shows that 3DS had sold just over two million units this year, ahead of Vita (591,096), PS3 (509,093), Wii U (377,731), PSP (314,414), Wii (48,979) and Xbox 360 (16,404).
Also worth noting is that Nintendo's home console has just cleared one million lifetime sales in Japan, having released in the country in November 2012..
