    Default trouble with converting psx's

hi, i got breath of fire 4 and it came in two files.
BOF4.001, 100mgs and BOF4.002, 52mgs, what do i do with these? i tried converting one and it came out corrupt.
am i supposed to merge the files? what do i do with these files to effectively get them into an eboot??

Methinks it's been compressed and made to span files that are no larger than 100MB, so you should just extract the 001 file as normal and you'll have your image again.

Surely you know this though, as you ripped the image yourself?

it doesn't necessarily have to be ripped to be legal does it? it's perfectively fine just to download it if you already have a copy.

    how do i extract it??

I believe that's just a rumor, and try winrar.

nah, no rumar- it's posted on most emu sites.
it says if you don't own the official game, you must delete the rom within 24 hours.

and i found a fantastic program called 7zip which opens every compression file under the sun + more!

    thanks.

I almost recommended that you use 7-zip, it's the only compression program I really use myself however I stumbled into an issue with it opening one particular split file that winrar managed with ease.

Oh, and just because a lot of sites say it, doesn't mean it's true. I mean, how many people actually believe the whole "98% of teenagers..." sig that just about every gullible fool and their dog has? I would rather believe what one well-informed source says.
