Holy sh*t! Very cool.
heres some work i have been doing , enjoy!
this A5 size all by hand, all structures are built from one regular sized paper [180-200gsm] they all are one single cut piece which remains attatched to the base. there is nothing other than the paper used to assemble. adobe illustrator, printer, paper, my good eyesight and a scalpel is all i use.[oh and i now use blutack to attach the template so i can have plain white finished product]
the next pics are a different phase, seedling indeed!
the partly assembled version is about an inch smaller around two edgs than A6, its about as small as i can go without compromising my sanity. i have fully assembled it but i dont have a photo, i do have some pics of a dual A4 version though, which is what follows
thank you sir
I like. =] I think I would have been more surprised about using paper as your art were it not for having seen http://www.petercallesen.com before, however. >_<
those are some weird pics, the AWSOME kind of weird!!!
Ahh, I love this.
First time I used stumbleupon came with simular things.
They amaze me.
What I like best about this is that you didn't give any bull about "Well, I was inspired by the human condition, y'know, and how we are what we make as a whole..."
You just made an intensely cool piece of art, and let it speak for itself.
well be assured there is some theory behind it, but if i told you it wouldnt help anyone.
its more of a general comment on our preoccupations, the answer keeping small and plain to avoid them in turn... its all in the sig.
however ive only just realised that these feelings of mine have been relayed through this model, i started it with purely aesthetic purposes, which i believe it delivers.
its very exhilerating to have a need to chase an idea in this manner, to have my own constructs run ahead of me and force me catch up. to be required to push a project is the worst situation to be in, now i dont have to!
Very interesting, looks like it took alot of work. I applaud your efforts.
Really really good. Is this a hobby of yours?
