    Default VNC Possibilities...

So with Wii homebrew its out of the question, but after doing some research i have found the Gamecube homebrew is not, and allows for GC homebrew on the Wii. I have been intrigued with software like 'PSPvnc' (http://www.dcemu.co.uk/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=30295)
and which is exactly as it sounds, VNC for PSP, as well as 'Pointy Remote' (http://www.yesasia.com/?/pp/news_content.asp?news_id=109)
which they describe as "LIKE VNC" for the Nintendo DS. I have also heard of someone using 'LogMeIn', a web-based vnc-like program, running on Wii (http://wiihacks.blogspot.com/2006/12...-from-wii.html)
My question is with all this developments around on other platforms, and even the DS, which supposedly has a connection to the Wii that can't be made with other devices, is it a possibility to port a VNC-like program to the Wii. For example, a channel on the Wii dedicated to opening a certain port to connect to the Host Computer running a Server App to allow the connection through VNC. i have been giving this much thought...it would be very cool to be able to change a few things on my computer upstairs as I sit and toil on the Wii. If a channel can't be developed, would it be a possibility to have a similar to LogMeIn, but free, way of tackling this obstacle? look forward to brainstorming with all of whoever.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking, but there was a DS homebrew program called DSVNC that connects to a standard VNC server installed on your computer. If you could get a VNC server ported to the Wii, you could theoretically control your Wii through your DS.

Well that is interesting! I was thinking more along the lines of using VNC to control my computer with the Wii. I understand that Wii Homebrew is unable to be done as of yet, but GameCube Homebrew on the Wii IS A Possibility, so is there any similar option for the GameCube, i.e. a vnc client app of sorts?
